Arashiyama Trip: Togetsu Cafe

I went to Arashiyama with the intention of getting % Arabica's coffee. But stupid of me, the day I went there, it was during the Golden Week so it was packed with people, swarming around the coffee stand. The queue and the heat turned me off, so I decided to find another cafe to chill and to wait until the queue died or at least shortened. I crossed the Togetsukyo bridge and found this cafe with counter, window seats overlooking the bridge.

This Togetsu cafe, not only that it has the perfect location, the shop is very clean and bright with simple decor and big window overlooking the bridge!

Good coffee (very small cup, though), there are also books to read, and USB plugs for phones (just bring your own cables) and free Wi-Fi! So yeah, I spent quite some time there. Best place to chill. Weird that this cafe was not full!

They have nice selections on their menu and I was very confused on which food to order. I asked the staff and she recommended me their rice ball wrapped in sliced pork for 500yen.

IT. WAS. SUPER. YUMMY.

The flavor of the pork had been absorbed by the rice and created a full-strength pork experience. I'd say this is a must-try food when you visit this cafe! This place deserved more love!

10/10 would recommend.

Cont.: The line never died. It got longer. I went to % every hour to check and it just kept getting longer. I gave  up and went home after a nice long bath at Fufu no Yu. Stay tuned for more stories of my Arashiyama trip!

Cont.: I went there again with my Indonesian best friend coming from Australia!
