Salut-ya (Demachiyanagi)

At first I was going to visit Riverside cafe which is around 10-15 minutes away. But sadly, it was not really Riverside cafe at that time (it kind of changed into another style cafe during certain time of the day. They have the schedule outside the cafe) so I walked back to Demachiyanagi station.

I passed by this cafe, and some reviews said the burgers were good. I decided to give it a try. The staff was quick to seat me even though the cafe was pretty full. They even let me choose if I wanted to sit on the first floor (only one table available - near the counter) or the second floor. I chose the second floor and went upstairs. They have tatami floor seating! Absolute bliss. I sat down and immediately relaxed.

Then a staff came, gave me cold water and the menu, and asked me to ring the bell (yes. The bell) whenever I'm ready. I was confused... So I held the bell after I decided on what to order, and then I jiggled it a bit. It made a not-so-loud sound, but the staff heard it and said "Hai!". I was just... wow...

I ordered Salut-ya burger and pudding dessert set with iced latte after main. Long story short, I'm no bread master but the hamburger was great and the bread was crispy (not hard!)! I wished the portion was a little bit bigger (he he) but anyway I already had my dessert set coming, so it was actually just the right amount. Man, they were all delicious. I didn't expect all the things I ordered to be that satisfying!

The pudding I had was lovely + the cookies ice cream! What a refreshing dish on a hot day. I also loved the iced latte~
