The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto's Pierre Hermé Paris Boutique Macarons (Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae)
Hi everyone!
It's been a long time since I last posted something. I have been too lazy to post even though I had the time to. Also... because I haven't been visiting that many cafes these days. I'm broke and I just had to stay at home and cook indomie to stay alive. Kidding. I cooked pasta with instant sauce, and sometimes indomie.
Okay. So, in this post, I would love to share pictures and my impression on The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto's Pierre Hermé Paris Boutique macaroons!
Most of the pictures will be the ones on my phone, because I forgot to bring my camera with me on that day. But the pictures of the macaroons will be HD, don't worry!
Long story short, I got free 3 macaroons from the hotel as my birthday gift! Yay!! Immediately, I went to the boutique to pick up my babies with my friend, Emily. We went through the main gate because we wanted to feel like guests lol
When we just passed the gate, we were immediately greeted by... our fellow interns! Philip and Jonathan are working as Guest Experience Agents, and you can see them behind the pillar.
The pathway to the lobby is very relaxing as you can see the beautiful scenery of water, greens, and the waterfall. Also you can feel the wind blowing next to you and listen to the sound of water flowing.

Once the automatic door slid, we could smell The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto original smell - citrus and green tea. Very lovely.
The signature bonsai tree!
When you enter the lobby area, Pierre Hermé Paris Boutique is on the left side. On the way there, you can see the beautiful staircase to the banquet rooms and MIZUKI Japanese restaurant.
On the same floor as the boutique, there are Lobby Lounge and the Italian fine dining restaurant, La Locanda (+ The Bar).

There were so many options for the macaroons, I was absolutely puzzled. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they gave me recommendations!
In the end, I picked 3 flavors. Then I went home.
After dinner, I ate the first macaroon.
First, jasmine flavor.
I'm seriously not good at describing taste/flavor, but if I were to score, it'd be 10/10!!!!!! It's. just. simply. AMAZING!!!!!!!
The texture, the flavor, the amount of sweetness, everything was just perfect! I'd definitely recommend this flavor!
Then the next day, I ate the second macaroon, The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto's original flavor.
I could taste green tea and red bean. Also very good~ Very Kyoto!!
And the next day, I ate my last baby. The infamous Ispahan flavor from Pierre Hermé!
Ispahan is the mix of lychee, rose and raspberry flavors. I looooooooove ispahan!
If I have the money, I'd love to buy them precious again. And maybe even bring them back to Sydney for my friends!
