Kyoto Cafe - Sarasa Fuyacho Pausa
Hello~
Greetings from ol-lady who just finished one of her most tiring shifts!
Today after work I took a different path to go home. At the same time, I wanted to hunt for pictures, cafes, and dinner of the day!
This time, I went along the Sanjo-dori and I found some really cute cafes such as Radio Cafe, Cafe Independant, Kissamaster, Inoda Coffee, Tully's Cafe and then... Sarasa Pausa!
After half an hour of walking in circles between the 5 cafes, I decided to visit Sarasa Pausa because of their decor and the dinner menu they offer! The moment I laid my eyes on the shop, I already kind of decided that I wanted to eat there, but just continued to walk around to see other options, and ended up going back to the shop to eat. The shops is very near to Teramachi shopping street. It's just on Fuyacho-dori!
They have 2 floors - the first floor is the cashier, open kitchen, and the counter-style seats looking out to the street. The second floor has some tables where the customers can sit on the floor Japanese style. But... there are also some tables in their 'glass house'.
They have some Japanese food, spaghetti, salad, sandwich, etc. I also wanted to try their hand drip coffee. I got a seat on the second floor, next to the book shelves (of course I couldn't read anything lol).
As usual, I couldn't decide which dish to eat. In the end, the waitress came to me, and I asked for her recommendation. I gave her 3 choices from the menu, and then she chose the chicken karaage set with rice and salad. I also ordered Sarasa Pausa's hand drip coffee! (YAY!)
This sounds like exaggeration, but. Their. Chicken karaage. Thai chili sauce. And. Rice. Are perfect match. The rice was soft and sweet - the way I like my rice, and the karaage was juicy and crispy! I couldn't ask for any dinner better than this today!
To be honest, I disliked black coffee but I was so curious to try their hand drip coffee. I asked for sugar and milk, but in the end I didn't use them because apparently their hand drip coffee was not bitter! They use their Sarasa coffee beans and it was amazing! Not strong and quite soft after taste. I'm in love now! Who knows this is the beginning of learning to drink black coffee?
When I finished my meal, it was already dark. And the shop still looks so cute.
However, I prefer the not-so-dark-outside look of the shop better! Look at these pictures!
How badly do I want to come back to this shop (%)? 86%.
I definitely want to try other Sarasa shops. Cheers to more cafes to visit!
