Kyoto Bar: BUNGALOW (Omiya)

Hi! Greetings from Kyoto again!

There was this one time, my first shift and the only time I started late (11am). I finished work at around 8pm and I was totally exhausted. My legs felt like they were shattering because I ran around non-stop for 8 hours with heels. Then, I still had to walk home for around 30 minutes. And I got hungry on the way. The whole day I had been running Italian food, and they all looked so good. I craved Italian food so much after my shift. Thus, I googled and found Bungalow. I don't know how googling Italian restaurant got me to Bungalow, but from all the reviews I read, they say the craft beers at Bungalow are awesome. And they have some snacks, too. So I went there...

Bungalow opens in the afternoon, from 3pm until 2am. It was a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong walk - felt like it because my legs could literally just give up anytime. Bungalow is very easy to recognize, because instead of walls and doors, they use plastic sheet! Their exterior and interior are both lovely, and I loved the atmosphere inside the bar.

Bungalow Outside
I was too awkward and tired to take pictures from the outside at that time, so I use Beer Tengoku's picture for this one!

I went in, sat at the corner by myself when everyone else had companions, and I only ordered a local Kyoto beer and french fries. I didn't want to spend lots just for night snack lol.  But they actually have quite some options for beers, including the local Japanese beers from different regions. I ordered #6, the Kyoto white ale.

Sounds weird, but the french fries was damn tasty. That was the best french fries I've had so far in Kyoto.

Percentage of coming back? 69%.

*Note: percentage of coming back is not rating. It doesn't mean that it's a bad place, it's just my personal opinion whether I would go all the way back. I may be going back again if I don't have any more places on my list to visit.

I would love to go back to try more beers! The Kyoto beer tasted similar to Australian beers, and I liked it!
